On the next trip back to the spot, I decided to take
this X-men cabinet. Apart from the front horizontal
control panel rest, it was the most intact and sold
cabinet still there.

After evaluating the condition of the Donkey Kong
cabinet, and seeing that the picture tube was smashed
and glass was everywhere, I decided to strip it and
salvage as much I could from it.

I secured the coin door panel and the entire contro
panel, with a fairly new looking laminate on the top.

I cleaned out the cabinet of old newspapers and beer
bottles as best I could, taped it all to my handtruck
and returned to headquarters.

Trip #4 - Back for controls and miscellaneous items

Went back to get the motherboard case and motherboard
for whatever is in the Donkey Kong cabinet.

The red metal monster proved to be more of a job than
I could handle, and was too big to move alone. I liberated
the joystick and the buttons from the control panel. I think
I might go back for the coin door machanism in the future; it
looked as if it was in perfect shape.

Went and bought a 2 litre Coke and  Black Forest Pound cake
with the $3.25 in Quarters from the Atari cabinet on the way
back to the Bridge of G2.

On to the controller
